A research house, not a content factory
Lumera Research was founded in Pune in 2008 on a simple bet: that buyers could tell the difference between research built on primary evidence and research stitched together from other firms’ press releases, and would pay more for the former.

The bet took a while to pay off. The first two years were eleven syndicated reports and a great deal of walking warehouse floors, wholesale mandis and dealership rows, building the panels that still underpin the firm. Custom work arrived in 2010, the London desk in 2016, and the practice has grown the same way since: hire an analyst who knows an industry from inside, give them a beat, and let the publication prove the value of the method.
What has not changed is the standard of evidence. Every report states its data vintage and methodology on the cover. Every estimate is labelled as one. And when we are wrong — which has happened, on the record, three times — the correction stays attached to the original document forever.
In 18 years we have published 126 reports for clients across 13 industries, completed 214 custom engagements, and built a desk of 23 analysts whose primary-research notes we can still produce for any deliverable we have ever signed.
